About Us
Meet the doctors behind Health Hub
Health Hub is led by Dr Kathy van Niekerk (MBChB, ACLS, ATLS) and Dr Andrea During (MBChB, ACLS, ATLS, PALS). Together, we provide modern, patient-centred general practice care in Windhoek and Walvis Bay, with a special interest in preventative and functional medicine, metabolic health and weight management, occupational medicine, burn wound care, and aesthetics.
Dr Kathy brings extensive experience in emergency care, chronic disease management, burn wound management, and functional medicine. She is actively pursuing a Diploma in Occupational Medicine (Royal College of Physicians, Ireland) and holds advanced life support certifications in ACLS and ATLS. She has a focused interest in metabolic health, GLP-1/GIP weight management programmes, and medical aesthetics including Botox.
Dr During also brings extensive knowledge in emergency care, as well as the management of both acute and chronic conditions to patients of all ages. She has a special interest in burn wound care. She believes that exceptional healthcare goes beyond medicine, striving to offer a personal touch and ensure each patient feels heard, valued and cared for.
We opened Health Hub because we wanted a practice where patients feel genuinely listened to — not rushed through a conveyor belt. Our Windhoek practice is open Monday to Friday, with Walvis Bay consultations on selected Fridays. We are associated with CMC Private Hospital and maintain a strong specialist referral network across Namibia.
